Outdoor 2020 Information

The GoA has given us the opportunity to run some “mini leagues” in cohorts of 50. It is very important that individuals understand that you will ONLY BE ABLE TO JOIN one cohort. To keep things simple, I will use “league” when referring to a cohort. SOFA will be offering the following format for all it’s outdoor leagues:

All leagues will play a 7v7 format; 6 players plus a goalie.

Teams will have a maximum of 10 players on their rosters

(minimum of 2 players of the opposite sex for mixed leagues)

Each league will have 4 teams.

Each league will have 10 games (weather permitting)                                       

Games will be 2 - 25 minute halves

Game times for leagues A&C – 6:30pm

Game times for league B&D – 7:35pm

Dates: June 22 – August 27 *Tentative

Cost: $80/player

Monday Leagues:

Over30 A – 4 teams

Over30 B – 4 teams

Tuesday Leagues:

Mixed A – 4 teams

Mixed B – 4 teams


Wednesday Leagues

Ladies A – 4 teams

Ladies B – 4 teams


Thursday Leagues:

Mixed C – 4 teams

Mixed D – 4 teams


All games will be played at the Gilbert Patterson Middle School Fields (2109 12 Ave. South) *Tentative fields 

The reason for this setup is to maximize number of teams in each cohort (phase 2 = 50). The reason for 2 separate leagues each night, is to facilitate for a potential larger cohort, should the GoA move into Stage 3 sooner than later.

Registration will OPEN on TUESDAY, JUNE 16.

I will be posting pertinent information in regards to the protocols that all participants will have to adhere to when participating at the complex. Teams will have to register on “TeamSnap” as we will be using this app to help with the tracing protocol. Each individual will also have to sign a new waiver.
